My Requirements

Part time fixed term nanny-housekeeper required to help with 2.5 year old girl and, on occasions, 5 year old boy at parent’s house in Nork (near Banstead).

We need someone who will become part of our little group to join in our routine and help look after our children as well as helping with the work that needs to be done around the house.

The role involves looking after the 2.5 year old girl after she has finished attending morning nursery (this would involve collecting her and bringing her back home, preparing and feeding her lunch and looking after her until Mum has finished work (this is to include playing, reading stories)). The little girl may fall asleep after nursery for an hour or so. As and when you can (eg when the child is napping and before collection of child) we would like help with general household duties such as cooking, vacuuming, laundry, ironing, cleaning surfaces, wardrobe management and organisation, and tidying up. We have cleaners who attend fortnightly.

It is envisaged that the little boy will be at school whilst you would be looking after the little girl but he may be at home if he becomes unwell and cannot attend school. In these circumstances we would like you to help look after the little boy too.

Both our children are very loving, adorable and bright children who love learning new things. They are particularly interested in trains (including Thomas the Tank Engine), Paw Patrol, balls, jigsaw puzzles and books. Our little girl has started to talk but it is early days. She is potty trained and wears knickers but occasionally has accidents. Our little boy is potty trained and has started school well although loves being with his sister and would love to be with her. She, in turn, loves her brother and likes copying him.

Nanny we are looking for

We are looking for a friendly loving sensible nanny-housekeeper who will enjoy helping our children with their development and helping out about the house. The successful applicant will be someone who can work together as part of a team in looking after children and has experience of dealing with two young children and housekeeping. The successful applicant will also have to collect our little girl from her nursery which is a 10 minute drive away so the ability to drive for collection purposes is essential.

Successful candidate must possess Current DBS, (UK) childcare qualifications, Ofsted registered, Covid-19 vaccination certificate and full clean driving license. First aid training desirable.

Hours

The hours we require are 11.00 to 15.00 Monday to Thursday from the beginning of September 2026 (ideally) but we can hold out for the right candidate if needed. If the nanny would prefer slightly different hours then we would be open to a discussion.
