Doogie
Wrap around nanny needed for 5yo
About Me
I'm an academic doctor in medicine with a PhD in neuroscience, I work for the NHS and the development of AI medicine for the industry, I'm at the stage where I need to put a lot of effort in my job.
I've taken intermittently 2.5 years off looking after my son since he was born, and now he is 5 and relatively easier to be looked after by others than before (he has gone through his fussy eating phase for 3 years), I could do with some help to get both of us back on track.
My Requirements
My child would benefit from a dedicated person to care for him and give him quality time (lots of play dates and physical activities, as well as child led activities)
He does the best with 1:1 play date with adult assistance when he can expand his social language, he also does well with plenty of running in the grass field and playing in the park, he does a lot of imaginary play at the moment with his animals and he loves to watch animals stories, but he can benefit from some help in building his confidence in new tasks, especially fine motor skills, expressing himself in social situations, as well as expressing his needs to people outside his close family.
When he's in school he manages to make a lot of friends but gets frustrated too due to limited ability to express himself, so we want to find a very bubbly person who can organise play dates and watch them play and guide them. There's gonna be a lot of opportunities to have play dates after school as most of his classmates are busy working professionals, and I'm happy to organise them.
The minimum engagement would be after school care for up to 3 days a week, open to nanny share, with a view to extend to full time role to provide all wrap around care, with school pick ups, drop offs, taking to activities, doing play dates at home, and preparing dinner until parents come home (not expected while looking after the child), in school holidays we'll also need help as well.
