Current Role:
I’m working as a newly qualified teacher in the Lancing area, teaching in a Key Stage 2 class. My role involves planning and delivering engaging lessons, supporting children with a range of needs, and creating a safe, nurturing learning environment. I’m looking for a babysitting job on the side as a flexible way to earn extra income while continuing to care for and support children in a more informal, home-based setting.
Previous Experience:
Special Educational Needs (SEN) School: I worked as a teaching assistant where I implemented individual education, social, behavioural, and personal care programmes for children with SEN.
Personal Assistant for Independent Lives: This role allowed me to make a significant impact on individual children by giving them opportunities to explore the world outside of school and build their independence.
Summer Camp in Pennsylvania: During a three-month job, I served as a counsellor, supervising and supporting a group of four to eight campers with SEN. I worked closely with the team to develop strategies for motivating and inspiring our campers.
