About Me
I am a recent graduate of the University of Manchester in Speech and Language Therapy (BSc). I am relocating to Bristol in March to try out a new city and find exciting and fun experiences!
I am looking to work with families who may need extra support looking after their young ones. I understand the importance of spending time doing the things you enjoy, such as outdoor activities and creative hobbies. I aim to integrate this into any caring situation as it is so important for a child's well-being and development. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, salsa dancing and walking and I hope my passions and interests can be reflected in the care I provide.
I am looking forward to building a friendship with the child and the family as I aim to provide a service that is built on trust and companionship.
My Experience
My clinical placement in a young-persons therapy service meant I gained experience working with children who required extra support with their speech, language and social communication. This was an excellent learning opportunity, that provided me with insight into the varied challenges that young children may experience in their development.
I have worked as a Teaching Assistant for over one year, working closely with early year foundation stage to children age 16. I work primarily with students with SEN and SEM needs, however, my placements are often based within mainstream primary schools. (2022-current)
I spent 3 months working as a Nanny in Berlin, providing part time care for two German children aged 6 and 11. My main responsibilities included the school run, making meals and providing entertainment/helping with homework. (January 2023-March 2023)
I have completed my level 3 Qualification in Sports Leadership, which provided me with an initial understanding of the importance of duty of care and the safeguarding of children during participation (2018)
I have also shown I am responsible, reliable and trustworthy when providing childcare to a number of families in my local area.
With these experiences, I am aware of the duties of caring for a younger person. Having worked with children, I can recognise the importance of providing parents with the opportunity to have quality time to relax.

My Availability
I am currently available full-time and would be ideally looking to have this role as my primary employment. However, I am open to all requirements (part-time, occasional care or full-time) and would be happy to discuss which would best suit your needs. If the employment is part-time, there may be some variation in my availability as I may require other employment commitments alongside this role.
