About Me
Explore and Imagine Childcare is a childminding provision based in Billingshurst, currently pending Ofsted registration.
I will be open and ready to welcome little people from January 2026.
Explore and Imagine Childcare offers high quality childcare to children from birth to eleven years. The approach to education is underpinned by pedagogies from around the globe, such as Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Forest and Beach school. I will be offering a nurturing and inspiring environment where children’s natural curiosity, imagination, and love for learning are at the heart of the curriculum. Inspired by nature and the world around us, I encourage exploration, creativity, and discovery through hands-on experiences both inside and within the local and wider community. I believe that every child is a capable, curious learner, and will tailor our curriculum to support their individual interests, helping them to grow in confidence, develop key skills, and build a lifelong love of learning in a setting that celebrates the wonder of childhood. I am passionate about developing children's emotional literacy to help prepare them as well as possible for their future. This informs my gentle and respectful approach to managing behaviour and forming attachments with children. I recognise the importance of working in partnership with parents and therefore will ensure that parents are involved in their child's learning journey every step of the way through an easy to use online platform.
As well as a range of exciting activities at home I will provide weekly outings to beaches, woodland, libraries, Fishers farm, local parks and much more.
I offer funded early years entitlement and tax free childcare.
My Experience
I hold a BA Hons degree in Early Childhood Studies and have 17 years experience working with children, including working as an Ofsted inspector and lecturer at a further education provision. I also have three of my own children aged 15, 13 and 10 which means I fully understand the challenges that being a busy parent involves.
