About Me
Hi, I’m Georgia, 24 years old & live in Selsey! I am currently working in the beauty industry after making a career change after university. I studied Early Childhood Education & Care at Brighton University from 2020-2023 and gained my qualification. I have experience working with children in nurseries & babysitting for a lovely family in Brighton whilst at university. I also have looked after & cared for children in my family. My dream in the long run is to work with children who have SEND needs and specialise in working with children who have autism. I am passionate about working with children and having FUN! I have an up to date DBS and also have a CV with all written experience on. My most rewarding experiences have been through university and college placements where I have been on placements in some of the most rewarding settings. I am someone who loves the outdoors, being creative & finding fun things to do! I might not be very artistic but I will always try my hardest haha! I am quite flexible & always open to any extra work parents might need me to be available for whether that is last minute or pre planned in advance. I am great with children and really enjoy having fun and playing games (especially hide & seek!). I am a really calm, patient and compassionate person and hope to be a great asset to your family. My Experience
My relevant experience to this role is that I have worked in a nursery for just over a year before starting university. I worked in all the rooms most days in a week but my favourite was the baby/toddler room! I loved it the most because they begin exploring the environment more and wanting to play more games/take an interest in things! I loved working in a nursery and would always love to do it again. I have also done placements for university in two other nurseries which again were amazing and provided me with a lot of experience. I have also done a placement at a special needs school which has led me down the path I’m following for my career after university. I got on so well with all the children and the staff there. I have also worked as a play assistant at child’s play centre. As you can imagine, it was chaotic! I had so much fun & the birthday parties we hosted were the best part! All the kids loved it. I have also had experience babysitting for family and friends which I still do now from time to time if I am needed. Lastly, my most recent experience was babysitting for a lovely family in Brighton! I’m hoping I haven’t missed anything but I do have a CV which I have written it all down on if you would like to see if, just let me know :)
My Qualifications
GCSEs - Maths, English Literature, English Language, Chemistry, Physicals, Biology, Catering & Geography
College - Health & Social Care (DDM) (basically I passed with a high grade & specialised in the last year around children, policies & procedures etc)
University - Early Childhood Education and Care (passed with a 2:1)
I also am trained in normal First Aid and Paediatric first aid training and I have also done a course on safeguarding and Child Protection.
My Availability
Week 1: Monday - Thursday - early mornings to early afternoon (due to work commitments)
Week 2: Monday - Thursday - late afternoon / evenings (due to work commitments)
Fridays - day time / evenings
Saturdays - day time / evenings
Sunday - day time / evening

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
Normally £10 an hour, £12 for evenings & overnight can be discussed if ever needed - I am negotiable
