About Me
Hello, I am a fully qualified Norland nanny who has just moved back to Bristol after working as a nanny in the US for the last two and a half years.
I absolutely adore working as a nanny and being part of a team with the family to ensure children have an enjoyable and varied childhood. As an individual I am creative and friendly with my previous employers describing me as "thoughtful, organized, and always thinking ahead".
In my role I enjoy finding various activities and projects that speak to each child's unique skills and abilities, watching them flourish into their personalities.
My hobbies are salsa dancing, painting, singing and during my time off I like to explore the areas around where I am living.
My Experience
Prior to Norland, I completed my level 3 childcare course at college and gained experience through working in a nursery and school setting.
I have babysat for families whilst living at home and whilst attending university.
Through Norland I gained experience with placements varied from home settings, newborn experience, nursery and schools.
My first job post university was working with twins (born 2019). With this job I helped them to gain more independence through play, developed speech, planned activities, planned meals, helped with hygiene and potty trained both of them ready for school.
Due to the twins starting school full time, I had to help to prepare them, physically and mentally for the transition.
The job I have just returned from was a role in the US with two boys (born August 2019 and January 2025). Whilst working with the family I helped them manage a busy schedule, deal with emotion regulation, come up with creative activities and help the eldest with his socialisation. Whilst in this role the youngest was born so I took the Norland newborn refresher course and helped the eldest through the transition. The mother was on maternity leave for three and a half months so we did shared care and then when she returned to work it was sole charge.
