About Me
We’re looking for a nanny to join our family in our beautiful big home in Forest Gate 3-4 days a week - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and possibly Tuesday from 9:30 - 4pm. You will be looking after our daughter who is 4. We are planning for her to be home educated so she won't be starting school this September. This will be a long term position.
We also have a 6 year old son who is home educated and has a tutor with him Monday to Thursday.
We’re looking for someone that can be with us long term and build a deep relationship with our family. Our little girl is smart, creative and loves drawing, painting, singing and dancing, playing with her dolls and jumping on the trampoline. She is learning reading, writing and maths so we'd love someone that can contribute to her learning and do educational activities with her. She also loves playing with her brother and his tutor so there will be times when you're altogether playing, and times when you're separate.
She is autistic and requires a specific type of care - gentle, patient and very child led. She doesn’t want to be out and about everyday and it might take a while before she's confident going out with you. My husband and I both work from home a lot so we can be around to support the transition. She doesn't have any learning or communication difficulties.
Our kids like a lot of autonomy so we give them lots of choice about what they do each day, what they eat, what they wear etc. We’re a low demand, child-centred household and we don’t have strict rules or routines, just a loose rhythm to the day. We would love someone who has a similar approach and is comfortable in this kind of environment.
Most of all we want someone that is fun and creative with lots of energy! Someone who is young at heart and willing to get on the floor and play, build dens, make play dough and run around the house with nerf guns. We have a big house and garden so there’s plenty of space to play.
