About Me
Part-time after-school childcare needed in Clifton, Bristol.
I’m looking for a kind, dependable and engaging person to help care for my six-year-old daughter, who will be starting Year 2 in September.
She is a very kind, happy and thoughtful girl who is bright and capable. She’s also very active and loves climbing, riding her bike, going to the pump track, playing swingball and bouncing on the trampoline in our garden. She loves craft and gets a lot of pleasure out of building things out of card and paper.
The role would be three afternoons a week, usually from around 5pm until 7pm, although on some days we may need help from approximately 4pm for school pick-up. The exact days can be discussed and will be Monday-Thursday TBA.
I’m a single mum and run my own business from home, so I’ll often be around. Approximately every other week I maybe in London at least one day return home at around 6pm or 7pm.
The role would include:
Collecting My daughter from school when required, if it’s nice sometimes on her bike which she loves. We are only a 15 min walk.
Giving her time and space to relax and decompress after the school day
Preparing a simple, nutritious evening meal using ingredients provided
Helping with age-appropriate homework or reading
Enjoying some active play with her when time and weather allow or crafts
Supporting her evening routine and occasionally getting her ready for bed
Organising her clothes and school things for the following day
Light tidying related to her, clothes and belongings
We’re looking for someone warm, patient, and reliable who will enjoy getting to know her and understands that children sometimes need to decompress before moving on to homework or evening routines. Previous childcare experience, excellent references and an enhanced DBS check would be preferred. First-aid training would also be an advantage.
The position is based in Bristol, Clifton. Pay will be agreed according to experience.

My Requirements
The person will ideally have qualified or have lots of experience with children. Part time position.
It important to us that the our daughter development continues through activities and play. She enjoy activities in the home.
The candidate should have a full driving license (ideally) and will need to be organised.
She is a great eater of everything sushi steak seafood smoked salmon! we’d love to employ someone who is into cooking or willing to learn. We are great advocates for healthy eating so this will also form an important part of the role.
