About Me
My name is Alicja, and I am an Ofsted-registered childminder based in Bexleyheath. I live with my husband, Darren, and our 12-year-old daughter, Veronica, who attends Townley Grammar School.
We live in a ground-floor two-bedroom maisonette with a spacious, child-friendly garden. Our garden is well equipped for outdoor play, with a climbing frame and swings, a slide, a mud kitchen and lots of other toys and activities for children to enjoy.
I believe children learn best through play, exploration and hands-on experiences, so I encourage outdoor play as much as possible. We regularly enjoy walks and visits to local parks, the library and toddler groups, giving children plenty of opportunities to explore their local community, socialise and develop new skills.
I am a creative person and particularly enjoy baking, arts and crafts. I love planning fun, age-appropriate activities that encourage children's imagination and creativity.
I am originally from Poland and speak both Polish and English. I am very happy to introduce Polish language and culture into our everyday activities, if this is something your child would enjoy.
I want my setting to feel like a home-from-home — a warm, safe and welcoming environment where children feel happy, confident and encouraged to be themselves.

My Experience
I have been an Ofsted-registered childminder since 2022, providing a safe, caring and nurturing home-from-home environment for children.
I came to the UK as an au pair and have experience caring for children from newborns to 12 years old. This gave me a great understanding of children at different stages of development and taught me the importance of patience, kindness and adapting to each child's individual needs.
I am also a mum myself, with 12 years of hands-on experience of raising and caring for my daughter. Being a parent has taught me so much about patience, understanding, routines and, most importantly, creating a happy and secure environment for children.
I have also worked in a school as a dinner lady, where I gained further experience working with children in a school environment and supporting them during mealtimes.
And finally, I am a very proud auntie to 10 nieces and nephews! I have always loved being surrounded by children and have enjoyed watching them grow and develop over the years.
All of these experiences have helped me become the caring, patient and creative childminder I am today.

I've know Alicja for 6/7 years and have used her services many times. My kids love her! She is an amazing person and childminder. She would bake cookies with kids and share it with those in the neighbour hood. She is super caring and loving. Would definitely recommend her without a question!

Thanks for the great review. As you said we have known each other for a number of years and our kids have grown up together as great friends.
Ping Ping and Ying Ying are amazing and a pleasure to look after.
Alicja does school pickups and looks after my daughter very well. She is kind, responsible, reliable and good at keeping me informed, sending photos of my child every time. When I have questions about my daughter she answers me immediately. She organises a variety of activities for children, my daughter is always looking forward to showing me something she did with Alicja and her daughter.
I would recommend her to anyone looking for care for their child.

Thank you so much for the amazing review. Veronika is a real treasure and we love having her with us.
Alicja has been looking after our son since he was 8 months old. 6 months in and Alicja become our family member. She’s very carrying and warm. Cooked delicious and healthy meals and makes sure the children attend different activities daily. Our son absolutely loves going to Alicja’s setting and spend time with her and her lovely family.
Would definitely recommend Alicja to everyone!

Wouldn't recommend her to anyone,use her for a couple of months,she upset my daughter,had a really bad experience with this childminder....

On Wednesday night you came and knocked on my door saying that you need me to look after your children the next morning. I said that I would not and why.... You then said that if I don't you will write bad reviews about me. I guess this is the review you were talking about.

Thank you Lola for the review. Nyla, Nile, Noah and Naam are such well behaved children and great fun. They are a pleasure to take care of.
We had send our 2 year old daughter for a couple of days. She has enjoyed the time spend and has even picked up a few words to add to her conversation. Lots of toys and interesting activities and materials to play with. We are so happy and pleased with the service. A childminder who is kind and both loving and responsible. Kept us in constant communication by sending us photos and lots of videos everyday whenever she could and updating on everything daughter was doing. Very pleased with the service and will send her again in case of need. An excellent nanny and a caring environment. safe play area. We highly recommend.

Alicja has been amazing with our son, he absolutely loves going to her setting and never wants to leave! Alicja has a lovely daughter who plays beautifully with my son; showing him her piano playing and gymnastics. Alicja has a lovely cosy setting, with a large garden and lots of crafts. My son loves going to the park with them. Highly recommended from a teacher Mum!
