Live Out Nanny Job in Crediton
About Me
Hi I’m Beth, I have a little boy who is 4 & a 3 year old daughter. They love animals, Disney movies, "yoga" (anything "grown up" fitness related), baking and crafts. I am a single parent and doing a law degree at the University of Exeter.
Our lovely nanny has just left us to start an au pair role in New Zealand so looking for somebody new to join our family.
My Requirements
Possibly not the "norm" role, but looking for somebody competent who is comfortable with a proxy parenting role. I travel a lot, with no fixed schedule so you will have plenty of notice, and require somebody to have sole responsibility of the children whilst living in my home as I am away. This could include school runs, mealtimes, taking them to swimming lessons, laundry, general housekeeping etc. Length of time is dependant, but anything from an overnight/weekend to a week usually and you will be paid upfront.
I would also love somebody who is available for adhoc evening baby sitting, for dinners and dates etc.
I would like somebody who the kids love but also a friend of mine! We have alway got on so well with our previous nanny and would love the same relationship.

Is nice in the beginning but the mask soon falls. Does not work well in a single parent household. Asked to leave early constantly. Towards the end of her time with us didn’t bother turning up and didn’t let me know. Left my 2 year old sat downstairs on his own and left without saying goodbye. Told my ex partner (child’s father) personal and sensitive details about me. Pestered my ex partner to purchase annual passes and days out for her children to use (mine are under 3). Constantly left the house messy and untidy. Contacted my parents & family members whom she hadn’t spoken to before to complain about her role instead of speaking to me directly. Would demand payment up front for hours she hadn’t done and would later try to cancel. Would agree out of hours work and then cancel last minute. Was warned to not come back around my children and doesn’t listen.
