About Me
Hi! I am a portuguese 28years old full time Biomedical Scientist that would like to earn some extra money by helping families to look after their kids and the household.
I am responsible, active and very friendly and I would love to share my love and care to help to raise kids with good values and principles. My mum was a primary teacher and a special needs teacher for a few years and since young I have played and enjoyed to contact with other kids. I am untie now and very close to my family but they all live in Portugal and I currently have some free time. I informally provided some swimming private lessons and babysitting to my close friends' toddlers when required.
My Experience
I am a qualified swimming teacher with a wide experience of teaching all age groups.
I was a monitor in a summer camp with toddlers, kids and adults with special needs (overnight stay - 24h), experience that deeply marked and empowered my personality and life choices. This summer camp involved the planning/organisation/support of a wide range of sport and musical activities and routine and logistic tasks (feeding/showers/clothes +nappies changing/putting to sleep/supervise sleeping). I passed the character and experience interview to be a volunteer in this summer camp and was fully trained, guided and supported before and throughout by qualified monitor supervisors.
I lived for 1month with a host family in Ireland that had 4 boys (4-12yo) to improve my English skills when I was under 21yo. I still keep in touch with my host family and love to know that I learnt a lot with all of them and love to follow their grow and path!
My Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Biomedical Sciences.
Qualified swimming teacher and life guard (both courses incorporated first aid training)
Certified first aider at my workplace at St. James Hospital.
My Availability
I work 9-5pm and don't own a car so I will only accept jobs in the evening during the week ( after 6pm) or during the weekends in Chapel Allerton area.
