About Me
I am 24 years old and I come from Lisbon, Portugal. Therefore, I am fluent in English and Portuguese and I can understand and speak the basics of Spanish. I have moved to England over four years ago and I have worked as a LAMDA Teacher at the Bishop's Stortford College. I have been acting since 2008 and started working with children in 2016. I am hoping to keep working in the Drama, Arts and Culture field, connecting my process with communities.
My Experience
Since a young age, I have worked as a babysitter for family members. In addition, from the age of 16, I worked as an intern in intensive summer theatre workshops with children from the ages of 6 years old to 16 years old. This has taught me to be aware of different ranges of ages and the interests of different children. By working closely with the Theatre field, my colleagues and I have developed strategies to inspire these kids to be creative and use their imagination, while harvesting their confidence and social skills. I have worked in the various schools, and most recently at the Bishop's Stortford College. In addition, moving to the United Kingdom by myself at the age of 16 introduced me to a new key feature of willingness to fix problems calmly and it made me come across people of all different kinds.

Catarina stayed with us for exactly one week (day and night) to help with urgent childcare for our four-year-old son due to last minute issues with family illness/mother in hospital etc. She was really excellent with our four-year-old son and played a variety of educational and fun games plus arts and crafts to keep him entertained. He got on so well with her which is great as our son can have some challenging behaviour but Catarina was excellent with him. Catarina also helped with small jobs around the house and she was clean, tidy and respectful. I trusted her to look after the house when we were out for the day and at other times she joined for for morning trips to the garden centre with our son. She was willing and keen to always help out and be available. Otherwise very friendly and kind around the house. Highly recommend. Thank you again.
