About Me
I am a teacher, nanny, childcare practitioner, yoga teacher, forest school teacher and now also a mother. I have a six month old daughter Lili, and wanting to spend a little bit longer with her I would love to find a family with maybe similar aged children who I could look after with her. I love the outdoors and all kinds of nature activities, muddy puddles and climbing trees! I like to encourage adventure play and risk taking on the childs level. I also enjoy music and arts and all activities around those subjects. I paint and play the piano and would love to share those with children.
My Experience
I am a trained Steiner/Waldorf teacher from Finland where I mostly worked in after school helping and tutoring children with their homework and coming up with fun and creative activities for them.
In Sweden I worked as a preschool teacher with 2-5 year olds in a multilingual environment for 2 years before moving to UK where Ive worked in childcare settings and being a nanny. Ive worked with all age groups from 6months to 5 years as a room leader trying to make the nursery days as fun and imagination filled as possible!
As a nanny I love coming up with activities that suit the child and really following their unique interests. I enjoy taking the children to nature and to explore outdoors but also to do activities in the city too!
My Qualifications
Steiner pedagogy education class teacher,
Childcare and family studies level 3.
Most recently I finished a Forest school teacher level 3 and a 200hr yoga teacher training.
I also have safeguarding training, valid DBS check and a first aid qualification.
My Availability
I am available from the start of February 2023. I am initially looking for part time but happy to extend the hours if needed and if a suitable match comes along. Right now available on Wednesday and Friday mornings. Don’t drive Im afraid.
