Hi, I’m Shannan and I’m looking for a kind, caring and reliable nanny/PA to provide regular support for my 6-year-old daughter.
My daughter is autistic and has additional needs. She is a lovely, happy little girl with lots of personality, but she can become dysregulated at times and needs someone who is patient, understanding and confident supporting children with additional needs. Experience with autism/SEN would therefore be a big advantage.
The most important thing for me is finding someone consistent and dependable who can build a genuine, trusting relationship with my daughter. I’m not looking for lots of different people or occasional one-off childcare — I would really like to find one person who can become a regular and familiar part of her routine.
During term time I’m mainly looking for support after school, during evenings and at weekends. During school holidays I would ideally like longer daytime hours as well.
I’m flexible about the exact arrangement for the right person, but I do need someone whose availability is regular and who can commit to agreed days and hours in advance.
Ultimately, I’m looking for someone I can trust completely and who my daughter can feel happy, safe and comfortable with. ?
My Requirements
I’m looking for regular childcare that I can arrange in advance. Ideally, I would like support after school and into the evenings during term time, as well as some weekend availability.
During school holidays, I would ideally like longer daytime shifts, approximately 6–8 hours at a time.
I would also appreciate some flexibility for occasional later evenings and additional hours when arranged in advance.
I’m happy to discuss exact days and hours with the right person, but I’m ideally looking for a long-term arrangement rather than occasional one-off babysitting.
