My Requirements

We are a family with 3 year old twin boys and are looking for some childcare support in the form of a babysitter or mother's helper primarily in the school holidays.

Our twins are currently in a term time pre-school for 15 hours each week. We require some support with childcare during the school holidays whilst I work from home. I am self-employed with flexible hours and have a private office in my home. During the school holidays, I require someone who has availability for a few hours, 2 days each week.

Having previously employed a nanny, we are aware of the differences between a nanny, babysitter and mother's helper. This would strictly be a babysitting / mother's helper role whereby you would mind my children, whilst I work for a few hours.

This might look something like 9.00am - 12.00pm for example. We would be open to more casual work if the appropriate person is available.

This would involve:
- Playful activities at home or in our garden.
- Giving them an already prepared mid morning or afternoon snack, such as breadsticks, fruit etc.
- Supporting them to go to the toilet (both are potty trained)
- Supervising them during any independent play and ensuring their safety

*Once relationships have been established, we would be open to local visits to the park, playground if desired but not essential since we only need a few hours each day.

It would be beneficial to have experience of looking after toddler twins or children of a similar age.

As I am self-employed, I can be flexible on the days I work so depending on your own commitments, we could arrange days and times that are mutually suitable.

We would really love a kind and loving person who enjoys play and can build a strong rapport with my children. We would also love a person who has good initiative, adaptable and with good time keeping and reliability.

This role might suit someone who has a term time only job such as a Teaching Assistant or Teacher or a student looking to earn extra money. It might suit someone working part time elsewhere or a mature person with flexibility.

Other useful information: On street parking is available. More hours may be available if desired.
