My Summary
About Me
A warm, empathetic and easy-going childcare professional with a genuine sense of humour and a calm, approachable manner. Highly motivated and quick-learning, with strong communication and interpersonal skills and a proven ability to lead nursery rooms and support children’s development through play-based learning.
I am passionate about creating secure, nurturing and inclusive environments where children feel safe, valued and understood. My focus is on supporting emotional development alongside early education, helping children build empathy, understand boundaries, recognise their self-worth, and develop the foundations to become confident, well-rounded individuals.
Experienced in planning and leading enriching experiences and outings that broaden children’s understanding of the world, including beach trips, visits to Brighton Library and the i360, theatre trips, and community-focused experiences such as visits to homeless shelters and care homes. These opportunities help children develop curiosity, kindness, and social awareness.
Confident working both independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and proactive approach to new challenges and responsibilities. I have experience working closely with parents, SENCO teams, and colleagues to ensure high standards of care, safeguarding, and holistic child development, always prioritising each child’s individual needs and emotional wellbeing.
I also have a strong interest in different cultures, having travelled throughout Asia, which has strengthened my adaptability, open-mindedness, and appreciation of diverse family life and values. Outside of work, I enjoy music and regularly listen to podcasts on modern childcare practices and child development, which helps me stay informed, reflective, and continually developing my practice.
