Hello, My name is Leah, i am 22 years old. I recently moved through to East Lothian in 2020.
I am a nurturing, polite and friendly girl who has a lot of patience when working with children.
I use to work as a Practitioner in a nursery, however babysitting / nannying seems more suited to me as you get one to one time with the children to do in-depth learning and fun activities and essentially become a friend to families and the children.
My Experience
I have worked in a nursery for 2 and a half years, starting my journey off in the Junior room which is age 2-3.
I moved into the Pre-School ages 3-5 room last year.
During this time i have gained experience in
- helping children to dress themselves
- encouraging positive eating
- changing nappies / helping change children if they have had an accident
- setting up in-depth learning activities that are age and stage appropriate
- singing nursery rhymes and songs
- reading stories enthusiastically
i also have experience of working with children with ASN.

I currently hold a HNC in Childhood Practice

My Availability
I currently work in a school that accords with East Lothian school holidays, therefore i can help out with childcare during school holidays, week days (PM) and weekends.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)

We were on holiday in Scotland and Leah looked after our toddler boy several times. She was calm and super sweet. My son gravitated towards her right away. She was super responsive, reliable, and flexible accommodating last minute scheduling requests in between her day job. We appreciated her and hope she will be available again on our next trip to Scotland.

Leah watched my three boys for most of a Saturday (ages 11, 9, and 3). We hadn’t met her before but she put my mind at ease very quickly and was a perfect judge of how to slot into the family in a way that felt respectful and caring. She took great care of them, they reported back having had a lovely time, and we will absolutely be calling on her again!

Couldn't have asked for a kinder, and more intelligent babysitter. She really understood my kids and was flexible and patient enough to handle the difficulties they present. She was highly punctual and dependable. My kids still ask about her several weeks later. I can't recommend her enough.
