Where do I begin?! My daughter was with Sam from 12 months old and absolutely THRIVED in her care. Sam is the most nurturing, enthusiastic and caring person - I honestly couldn’t have wished for a better person to look after my daughter.
Sam makes such an effort with the children and really understands them. She is super hands on, and is fantastic at making every day fun and engaging - my daughter was always going on days out (honestly, they were always exploring somewhere!) or taking part in activities that were the perfect mix of fun and education. She learnt so much from Sam - from putting on her coat herself from an early age to more recently writing her name, she progressed SO well and I have to credit Sam with all of it!
Sam is also very good at reassuring anxious first time mums like me - there’s no judgement, just great advice and she listens to what you need too (heaps of pictures from their days together were always so appreciated).
My daughter still talks about Sam now and really misses her. And I miss her too - she became a friend and I loved our catch ups at pick up / drop off!
If you manage to get Sam as your childminder you are extremely lucky - my parents, my in laws and my local friends have all said the same thing. Everyone knows just how brilliant she is.
