Part-time Nanny Job in East Sheen
About Me
We are a positive, fun and energetic family of five, who enjoy an active, outdoor lifestyle. We have three boys who are 12, 8 and 4. Mum and Dad are busy professionals working mostly in the office in London during the week. Dad is a film producer and Mum works for a leading food and fashion retailer.
My Requirements
***Part-time Nanny Role: East Sheen***
We’re a positive, fun and energetic family of five who love an active, outdoor lifestyle. We have three boys — 12, 8 and 4 — and live in East Sheen, just a few minutes’ walk from school, clubs and Sheen Common.
We’re looking for a kind, reliable and energetic nanny to join us part-time, with the opportunity for more hours during the school holidays.
Our wonderful nanny has been with us for nearly four years and is only moving on because she’s no longer able to commit to part-time hours — something we feel says a lot about the happy, settled home we hope to offer someone new.
Mum and Dad are both busy professionals working mostly in London during the week (Dad is a film producer and Mum works for a leading food and fashion retailer). Our eldest is now at secondary school, so the role is increasingly focused on our two younger boys.
THE ROLE
– Part-time, live-out — approximately 20 hours per week
– Monday–Friday, approximately 3–7pm, with some flexibility around exact hours
– Occasional ad hoc evening babysitting available
– Full-time hours available during school holidays (approximately 8 weeks of the year)
– Pay: £20 gross per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
– Creating a warm, nurturing environment the boys love coming home to
– School and club pick-ups/drop-offs
– Overseeing homework and helping them stay organised
– Planning fun activities that match their energy — equally happy crafting at the kitchen table or heading out to Sheen Common
– Preparing simple, healthy family meals, with a good understanding of nutrition
– Keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy and organised
– Sorting school bags, uniforms and anything else they need ready for the following day
– Helping keep the boys’ routines running smoothly and using your initiative to make family life easier
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Someone who is:
– Kind, warm and genuinely enjoys spending time with children
– Fun, energetic and happy to get involved in family life
– Reliable, honest and organised
– Confident managing children of different ages
– Able to use their initiative rather than needing to be directed
– Experienced in professional childcare, ideally including previous nannying experience, or with a relevant childcare qualification
A current DBS check, paediatric first aid training and excellent references are required.
If you’re looking for a long-term, part-time role with a friendly, active family, we’d love to hear from you.
