About Me

Hello, my name is Emily. I am passionate about working with children and find supporting their growth and development incredibly rewarding. I am a friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable individual who always strives to provide the best possible care. Alongside my childcare experience, I have completed my undergraduate degree and am currently studying an Integrated Master’s in Clinical Psychology, with a particular interest in child development and wellbeing. I come from a young family and have been caring for children, including babies, since I was 17 years old. I hold a full driving licence, although opportunities accessible by public transport or within walking distance are preferred.

My Experience

I have over a year and a half of professional nursery experience and have worked extensively with young children, particularly babies and toddlers. During my time at Seasons Day Nursery in Stroud, I was primarily based in the baby room, caring for children aged 6–18 months and supporting their daily routines, learning, and development.

In addition to my nursery experience, I have regularly babysat for families in my local area and have cared for babies and young children since the age of 17. Growing up in a young family has also given me valuable hands-on experience supporting and caring for younger relatives.

Academically, I have completed my undergraduate degree and am currently undertaking an Integrated Master’s in Clinical Psychology. My studies have provided me with a strong understanding of child development, behaviour, communication, and emotional wellbeing, which I apply when caring for children of all ages.

My Qualifications

I have had my DBS( from working at nursery), GDPR, food safety, FGM, safeguarding (L2) and child protection certificates (all completed in 2023)
