Looking for a kind and reliable babysitter/nanny to support my lovely daughter

Hi, my name is Sumaree and I am a mum living in Hackney, East London.

I am looking for a kind, patient and reliable babysitter or nanny to help me with my 11-year-old daughter after school.

My daughter is autistic and has additional communication and support needs. She is a lovely, happy and friendly child who enjoys crafts, cutting and sticking, music, dancing, computers, going to the shops and spending time with people she knows. She can be very affectionate and enjoys having a familiar person around her.

At the moment, I particularly need help on Monday afternoons for around 2 hours. This could involve either collecting her from school or meeting her when her school transport brings her home.

There may also be opportunities for additional after-school hours during the rest of the week, depending on your availability.

I am hoping to find someone who is genuinely caring, patient and reliable, and who would be interested in getting to know my daughter and building a positive relationship with her. Previous experience with autism or children with additional needs would be helpful, but I am also happy to speak to someone who has the right attitude and is willing to learn about her individual needs.

I would be very happy to arrange an initial meeting so we can get to know each other and you can meet my daughter before making any commitment.

This is a genuine paid childcare opportunity. I do not pay cash in hand; I use a payroll service to arrange payment and tax, and holiday pay can be included where applicable. I am also happy to discuss working with someone who is genuinely self-employed.
