Night Nanny Needed – 2 Nights per Week (Barton, Near Cambridge)
We are a friendly family with two children (aged 3 and 1) looking for an experienced night nanny to help us with nights and the morning nursery routine.
Hours & Pay
Two nights per week (likely Monday night and Thursday night)
9:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. (11-hour shift)
Around £17 gross per hour (dependent on experience)
Location - Family home in Barton, near Cambridge (easy access by car; free parking available).
Main Duties
Full responsibility for both children overnight:
Settling them at bedtime
Responding to any wakes during the night
Nappy changes, comforting, resettling, night-time drinks as needed
Light child-related tasks during quiet periods, such as:
Tidying children’s areas used in the evening
Washing/stacking bottles or cups used overnight
Morning help (7–8 a.m.):
Gently waking the children
Nappies/toileting
Getting them dressed and ready for nursery
Sleep During the Shift
You are welcome to sleep when the children are sleeping, with a monitor, but must remain on-site and respond promptly to any wakes or needs throughout the night.
About You
Experienced with babies and toddlers, ideally in a night nanny or maternity nurse role
Warm, calm and confident in managing night wakes and settling
Up-to-date DBS check and strong references
Eligible to work in the UK
Comfortable following our routines while also offering gentle guidance
Start Date
Ideally from January 5th, with a short paid trial night beforehand.
