About Me
I am a home from home childminder aged 39 with a love of the outdoors, running and fitness. I have 2 energetic children of my own and a fabulous step son. As well as the outdoors and running, I love nature and animals. My children have shown me how to have an awareness of the world around me in a way which adults forget. They have also highlighted the importance of learning through play and through everyday life situations all of which has led me to set myself up as a childminder so I can continue to learn from the children as well as start their learning journey within my setting.
I live with my husband and family in an old farmhouse with plenty of space to play. I have a secure outdoor paved area which will be developed further to extend into our garden in summer 2023. We have a dog, 2 cats, rabbits and guinea pigs.
I regularly visit the library, feed the ducks at the local ponds, explore the local neighbourhood, visit local playgroups, have trips to numerous playgrounds, the beach and other places where we can get muddy, explore, find sticks and other treasures!
My Experience
I am totally new to childminding as a business. I have worked teaching horse riding to people aged 4 to 74 so gained a lot of experience teaching young children how to ride and handle horses and ponies. I've also worked in the entertainment industry as a bookings manager, within the fitness industry and more recently for the last 8 years at Lancashire based charity promoting sport and physical activity to children and young people as well as supporting quality PE provision in schools.

My Availability
Monday to Friday. 8am to 5 pm although I may well be able to accommodate some slightly different hours if mutually agreed.
