Private Tutor Job in East Dorset District
About Me
We are a family of five living in Dorset, preparing to begin our home education journey after Christmas. We have three children aged 7, 10 and 12 (currently in Years 3, 5 and 7).
We’re excited to create a nurturing, engaging learning environment where our children can learn at their own pace, explore their interests and develop a genuine love of learning.
For us, home education is about more than just academics. We want to give our children opportunities to discover new interests, develop practical skills, build confidence and enjoy learning in a relaxed, supportive environment.
We’re looking forward to finding enthusiastic tutors who can become part of our home education journey and help make learning an enjoyable and rewarding experience for our children.
My Requirements
Maths and Science
We are particularly looking for tutors in Maths and Science who can make learning engaging, build confidence and adapt their teaching to suit our children’s individual ages, abilities and needs. We would love someone who can bring subjects to life through practical activities, experiments and a hands-on approach wherever possible.
Piano Tutor
We would love to find a piano tutor who can introduce our children to music or help them develop their existing skills. Ideally, we’re looking for someone encouraging and patient who makes learning an instrument enjoyable.
Drum Tutor
We are also looking for a drum tutor who can help the children explore rhythm, develop their musical abilities and have fun learning a new instrument.
Spanish Tutor
An added bonus would be a Spanish tutor who could introduce the children to the language in a fun, interactive and accessible way.
We value tutors who are warm, reliable, creative and passionate about their subject. We want our children to feel comfortable asking questions, exploring new ideas and developing confidence in their abilities.
We are based in Dorset and would ideally prefer in-person tuition, although we’re happy to discuss suitable arrangements. We are open to working with several different tutors rather than looking for one person to cover everything.
