About Me
Hello, I’m Steph!
I’m an Ofsted-registered childminder based in Rothwell, Northamptonshire, providing a warm, safe and nurturing home-from-home environment where children can feel happy, secure and confident to be themselves.
I’m passionate about supporting children to learn, play and develop at their own pace through a mixture of child-led play, fun activities, outdoor adventures and everyday experiences. I encourage independence, curiosity and confidence, while making sure children feel listened to, valued and cared for.
I live with my partner and our 4-year-old daughter and my 8-year-old stepdaughter. We also have our two friendly bunnies, Phineas and Ferb, and our cat, Lola, who are part of our family.
I aim to create a setting where children feel like they are coming to a second home - somewhere they can have fun, make friends, explore new experiences and create lots of happy memories.
My Experience
I have hands on experience both as a parent and through working in professional childcare settings. Being a mum has given me a genuine, personal understanding of children’s individual needs, personalities and stages of development, as well as the importance of creating a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe and supported.
I have also worked in a nursery setting, caring for children of different ages and supporting their learning and development in line with the EYFS. My experience has included planning and providing engaging activities, encouraging learning through play, supporting children’s independence and helping to create a safe, welcoming environment where every child can thrive.
My Qualifications
Level 3 Award in Preparing to Work in Home-based Childcare (HBCA)
I’m fully Ofsted registered, DBS-checked and paediatric first-aid trained. I have also completed my safeguarding training & food and hygiene course.
I’m also committed to continuous learning to ensure I provide the best possible care and education for every child. I regularly complete Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses to enhance my knowledge and skills, keeping up to date with current guidance, best practice and changes within the Early Years sector. I also attend childcare conferences, webinars and training events throughout the year, allowing me to reflect on my practice, develop new ideas and continually improve the experiences I offer to children and families.
My Availability
Available Tuesday to Friday 8:00am till 17:30pm

- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
