About Me
Hi! My name is Evelyn, and I am a support worker at Acorn Park Nursery where I work with children aged 2-5. I like drawing, embroidery and exploring the outdoors come rain or shine! I have a Psychology degree from the University of Glasgow, and am currently studying part-time at the University of Strathclyde to complete my Certificate in Counselling skills. I have 6 months experience working as a nanny for 2 children aged 4 and 9 and have 5 years of volunteering experience with the Girl Guides with children aged 5-14. I stay near Kelvinbridge in the West End. Please note I do not have a driving licence :)

I enjoy making artwork! During my work with children I have experience in teaching and engaging children with art, including leading embroidery tutorials, doing print making and portraits. In my own personal practice, I have completed drawing intensives at the Glasgow School of Art and been a member of the Glasgow Art and Life Drawing Society. I painted the set for the contemporary opera Bertha, which was performed in Buchanan Galleries. My work has also been published in the John O’Groats Mill colouring in book and Qmunicate magazine.
I have experience working with children with Autism as young as 3 and have provided one-to-one care for children with special support needs as a nanny. I have also worked with 2 children with selective mutism.

My Availability
I am available Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays all day. I am available on Tuesdays during the day, and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings.
