About Me
I am a dedicated and friendly Early Years Practitioner with experience as both a nanny and within a variety of early years settings, including nurseries, childminders, and forest schools. Over the past few years, I have had the pleasure of supporting children from 3 months to 4 years old, helping them learn, grow, and explore the world around them.
Growing up with my mum as a professional nanny gave me a wonderful insight into childcare from an early age. I was exposed to a wide range of family dynamics, different children’s personalities, and individual needs, which helped me build a strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, and positive behaviour support from the very beginning.
I later followed my own passion for childcare and began my journey as a private nanny. After gaining valuable experience supporting my first family in their home, I moved into early years settings to broaden my knowledge, continue developing my skills, and work towards my qualifications.
I am incredibly passionate about creating a warm, nurturing, and fun environment where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn. I love being part of those special early years moments, whether that’s watching a child discover something new, building their confidence through play, or supporting them as they grow into their own little personalities!
Outside of work, I love being creative through art and photography, and I enjoy spending my free time exploring the outdoors, especially walks by the river and relaxing days at the beach.
My Experience
I began my journey in childcare as a nanny, where I spent just under two wonderful years supporting a family with their little ones. Before this, during lockdown, I was also lucky enough to help two families with childcare and home schooling, which really strengthened my passion for supporting children and their learning.
I then moved into a local nursery, where I spent nearly two years, mainly based in the pre-school room. During this time, I had my own key children who I supported closely, helping them grow, develop their confidence, and reach their individual milestones. I loved being part of their early years journey, from sharing stories and exploring new ideas to supporting their emotional needs through play, care, and encouragement.
From there, I joined my current setting, where I have now been for over two years. I have had the pleasure of creating so many special memories with the children, from baking together and getting creative, to trips to the library, adventures in the park, and discovering the world around us through play. Alongside my experience, I have also been studying towards my Level 5 Early Years qualification, continuing to grow my knowledge and understanding of how best to support every child as an individual.
My Qualifications
Non childcare qualifications:
.I have all my GCSES including an A in English and a C in maths.
.At college I gained a B in photography, A in English Language and a C in religious studies.
.I then went on to complete a foundation diploma in Fine Art for which I received a merit.
Childcare qualifications:
. level three caring for children in an home environment.
.level 3 paediatric first aid course, which I repeat every three years.
.I have completed many EYA training courses including safeguarding, blossoming babies, level 2 food and hygiene, prevent duty, and even a children’s yoga course!
.Currently finishing my Level 5 yearly years foundation diploma
My Availability
Monday to Friday, full time hours ideally.
