My Experience

I am currently working as a midday supervisor at St joan of arc primary school in Islington and have worked there since January 2015.
In my position as a Lunchtime supervisor,I work mainly with the nursery children,caring and supervising them during lunchtime.I also help maintain a safe,happy and positive environment for the children.I support the children's social development and encourage positive behaviour during playtime. I interact with the children by listening to them and responding to their individual needs with patience and empathy.I also assist with KS1 classrooms when required,supporting the children with day to day classroom activities,encouraging them to participate in the different activities available and develop their confidence.
I work closely with the teachers and my fellow colleagues to ensure that the children are given the best possible service.I support children's wellbeing and ensure that they feel cared for and valued.
I volunteer two mornings in a week,working with reception children at St Scholasticas Primary School.There I support the children with classroom activities,daily learning routines,enhancing their learning and development,as will well as outdoor activities inorder to promote their emotional and physical development.
I encourage the children to participate in different activities and help them in the development of their confidence.
I provide a patient,caring,empathetic and supportive presence and work as a team with the other staff on the setting.
I also go with the children and other staff to Forest School,where the children learn about nature and their curiosity is stimulated.
I have previously worked as Healthcare assistant from 1996 to 2011,and I have a certificate in NVQ Level 2 in Elderly care.There I provided care for the clients in a respectful and caring manner.I assisted them with daily personal care,communicated with them with patience,compassion and understanding.I worked responsibly as part of a team with my colleagues.
Maintained a professional approach while supporting people with different needs and developed strong skills in empathy,communication,patience and attentive listening,which i have been able to practice while working with children.

My Qualifications

I have an NVQ2 in Elderly care,Certificate in mental health awareness.
I have also done safeguarding courses,which we do every September at the school.
I have just finished my course on Childminding..
I have a certificate in first aid training,practical and theory.
I have a certificate in how to deal with allergies and an up to date DBS through my current work and voluntary position.

My Availability

I am available Monday to Thursday before school,after school and in the evening.I am free on Saturday the whole day,and Monday to Thursday night.

My Fees

• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)
• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
