Hi, we’re a family of 4, parents to daughter age 8 and baby son.
Mikey works in theatre in the West End and I am a Hypnobirthing Instructor and Postnatal Doula .
Iris loves drawing and craft and can spend hours colouring and creating. She sings all the time and likes kitchen dance parties. She enjoys making potions, baking and pottering in her mud kitchen as well as playing with Lego, playmobil and her Barbies and doing their hair. Caleb who you will mostly be looking after will be 9 months. He has a nap routine and at 6 months, currently only sleeps while being cuddled, pushed in the buggy or carried in the sling, although that may change in the next few months, we need someone who is prepared for that as it can be tiring! Preferably we’d like someone who is happy to play with him, keep him busy and stimulated and take him to bounce and rhyme at the library, etc.
We use a "conscious" or "gentle" parenting approach, so need someone who understands and is comfortable implementing that.
Iris is opinionated and determined once she gets to know you, but can come across as quite shy when you first meet her. She is easily entertained, especially after school when she is tired and often wants to just rest, watching television or drawing. She has a problem with loud noises (hand dryers, blenders, hoovers, motorbikes, trains, etc) so someone who can handle that sympathetically would be great.
My Requirements
We're looking for someone to primarily look after our son who will be 9 months when I return to work in May in the daytimes and collect our daughter from school. We need someone who takes the 30 hours of funded childcare. The hours would be Tuesday and Wednesday, 10am until 5pm. You would need to pick our daughter up from Rathfern school at 3.20pm and on Wednesdays take her to her dance class. We don’t require any food prep or household tasks.
