My Requirements

My three-year-old daughter is a kind, bright, and curious girl. She has struggled in the large, noisy nursery settings, so I believe a smaller childminder environment would suit her better, and am needing a three-day space asap (flexible on which days those would be!). I’m looking for a qualified childminder who offers a child-led, nurturing approach, with minimal screen time and plenty of hands-on, creative activities like arts, music, and dancing.

We embrace the Swedish philosophy of “there’s no bad weather, only bad clothes”, so outdoor play and local outings would ideally be a normal part of the day. Consistency, routine, and a calm, supportive environment are important for her wellbeing. Ideally, the childminder would be experienced with children who have additional needs or are sensitive to noise/stimulation.

We live in Islington South, so a nearby childminder would be ideal, but the most important thing is finding the right fit, and we’re happy to travel a reasonable distance for that.
