My Experience

Hello! My name is Maryam, and I am a qualified Primary School Teacher with a PGCE from University College London (UCL) and a BSc in Forensic Science from the University of Kent.

I am currently a primary school teacher in a London primary school, giving me up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum and the expectations for children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Alongside my classroom teaching, I have several years of experience as a private tutor and SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting children with a wide range of learning needs and abilities. I adapt every lesson to suit each child, helping them build confidence, close gaps in their learning and reach their full potential.

I have extensive experience preparing pupils for the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check, Year 2 SATs, Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check and Year 6 SATs, with a 100% pass rate among the pupils I have supported. I have also successfully delivered reading, writing, phonics and maths interventions, helping children make strong progress through targeted, personalised teaching.

My lessons are engaging, supportive and tailored to each child’s individual needs. Whether your child needs extra support, wants to build confidence, prepare for assessments or be challenged further, I create a positive learning environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and enjoy learning.

I believe every child can succeed with the right support, encouragement and teaching. My aim is not only to improve academic outcomes but also to develop independent, confident learners who enjoy their education.

My Availability

I am available 7 days a week for tuition and am flexible with my timings

• Tutoring from £22.00 per hour

My fees are charged at a rate of £22 per hour per child
