My name is Tas Summerfield. I’m 33 years old, happily married and a mum to three wonderful young children.
Childcare has always been a huge part of my life. Since leaving school, I’ve worked in a variety of childcare roles, from working within nursery settings to being a private nanny, caring for children of all different ages.
In July 2023, I decided to take the leap and open my own childminding business, Park Farm Kids, with one simple aim — to provide children with a safe, happy and nurturing home-from-home environment where they can learn, play and feel completely comfortable.
I’m incredibly proud of how Park Farm Kids has grown since then. As demand increased, I was lucky enough to welcome my best friend Chloe to the team.
Chloe and I first worked together at a local nursery back in 2013 and have been the closest of friends ever since. We’ve always worked brilliantly together, and Chloe brings so many fun, creative and exciting ideas to the setting. Having her alongside me has helped Park Farm Kids continue to grow while maintaining the personal, family feel that is so important to us.
Between us, we each have over 13 years of childcare experience, caring for children from newborns through to teenagers. We are both Ofsted registered, paediatric first aid trained and fully insured.
Our setting
Park Farm Kids is based on the Park Farm estate in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire, with easy access to local parks, open spaces and surrounding fields — giving us plenty of opportunities to get outdoors and explore.
At home, the children have access to a safe and secure garden with lots of activities and opportunities for play, learning and adventure.
We also have a small family Maltipoo who is very friendly, great with children and doesn’t moult. The children may occasionally get the chance to say hello, but he can of course be kept completely separate whenever necessary.
Childcare places
We offer childcare for children aged 0–4 years, four days a week:
Tuesday – Friday | All year round
We may also be able to offer care for older children during the school holidays, subject to availability.
Keeping parents involved
As parents ourselves, we completely understand how nerve-racking it can feel leaving your child in someone else’s care.
That’s why communication with our families is really important to us.
Parents receive regular and honest updates throughout the day, along with photos of what their little one has been getting up to (with parental consent, of course).
Parents are also invited to join our group chat, where we share general updates, important information and any additional childcare sessions that become available. Extra sessions are offered on a first come, first served basis and are often snapped up quickly!

Even if you’re not quite ready for childcare yet, we strongly recommend joining our reserve list as early as possible, as spaces can be limited.

My son has been going to Chloe & tas since he was 2 months old. He always comes out smiling and so happy, we couldn’t be happier when sending him to Park farm kids!

Tas is amazing, and has helped our toddler settle in so well. The setting is very much a warm, friendly, cosy home from home, and exactly what we were hoping for. Tas does activities with the children and our toddler is always bringing home pictures that she has drawn with Tas that day.

I was so apprehensive about putting my son into childcare, but since starting at Park Farm Kids, he has absolutely loved it. He settled in almost instantly, which was such a reassurance. My son has come on so much, especially with his talking and manners, and it’s amazing to see the progress he’s made. It’s a happy, clean environment, and they do so many lovely activities with him — he always comes home with creations he’s made, which I love. The daily updates are such a reassurance and really make me feel involved in his day. I’m so happy I found Park Farm Kids — I feel completely comfortable and confident leaving my son with them.

Our daughter has been with Tas for 18 months now and has thrived. I am a nervous mum but both Tas and Chloe make feel like she is in very safe hands. I can’t recommend them enough really, I am always singing their praises. They consistently provide a safe, happy, fun and clean environment. 5 stars.

Tas and Chloe have a brilliant setting. Our little boy is always excited to go. They always have lots of outdoor and indoor activities set up , which are always fun and educational. The setting is a warm, calm and happy environment . Our little boy will miss his days at Park Farm with Tas and Chloe!

My son has settled here so well. He was very anxious about leaving me and my partner for several weeks and they made it so easy. They were so understanding and supported us through the transition so well. I would highly recommend Tas and Chloe to anyone

My child attends Park Farm every week with Tas & Chloe & loves it! I get regular messages throughout the day about how my child is getting on with photo updates. I feel so comfortable leaving my little girl with them, knowing she is happy & well looked after. They offer great activities with artwork/food coming home as well at little trips out.
Prior to my child attending park farm, I hired Tas for my wedding in 2023 she was professional, caring & all the children loved her!

My daughter has been attending Park Farm for over a year and has thrived in the care of Tas and Chloe. The care she has received has been so personal, they accommodate every need and nothing is too much trouble. Daily updates are thorough and my daughter is so excited to start her day there! Would highly recommend.

Our little boy has been going to Park Farm Kids for a year (since they opened) and he loves it! He has flourished there! Tas and Chloe are so lovely and helpful. It’s the best of both worlds being a childminder in a home setting but with enough children his age to socialise him!
