About Us

Sunhill Day Nursery Fen Drayton is located in a beautifully converted old school in the quiet village of Fen Drayton. The nursery provides full time and part time care for children aged 0-5 years.

We are very proud to follow a blended EYFS and Montessori approach to our learning. The nursery rooms are warm and welcoming complete with carefully selected resources to enrich the children’s learning and development.

Babies join us in the Stars Room and as they grow and develop, toddlers transition into the Sunbeams Room. These rooms have their own garden with slides, a mud kitchen, a water play area, a sand pit, a discovery area, seesaws and a rocking horse. The nursery encourages independence skills and children are able to free flow between indoor and outdoor areas throughout the day.

When children are 3 years old, they transition into our pre-school room. The children in pre-school have their own garden with 2 climbing frames, a mud kitchen, a construction area, a literacy area, a maths area, a water play area, a sand pit, and a canoe. Free flow is also encouraged between the indoor and outdoor space.

Thanks to our picturesque setting, the children will often go on walks around the village to visit the local nature reserve, shops and the church. Helping to extend and enrich the children’s learning beyond the nursery setting.

We are open from 7:30am - 6:30pm Monday to Friday for 51 weeks of the year (we are closed at Christmas and on bank holidays).
