About Us

Sunhill Day Nursery Stowmarket works closely with parents to ensure each child leaves nursery confident and ready for their next stage of learning. The nursery provides full time and part time care for children aged 0-3 years.

Children start their journey here at our Stowmarket Nursery. Our nursery on Bury Street provides the children with their own unique space and carefully chosen resources to become confident and curious learners. Our setting is perfectly sized so that children are in small groups and are able to develop at their own pace.

The nursery has two rooms and an inside garden where natural sounds are played, outside activities are planned and carried out.

To enable our children to explore the local community, we enjoy going out on walks to the church and library.

Our children also benefit from our membership at the East Anglian Life Museum where they develop their learning further by exploring animals, steam engines and making dens in the woods.

The children will often visit our Pre-school which is just a short walk away. Giving the children the opportunity to use the large outdoor garden as well as becoming familiar with the Pre-school environment and team.

When the children are ready, they will transition to our Pre-school setting, which is just a few minutes away. Our preschool children have the benefit of having their own site in order to fully prepare them for ‘big’ school life. Having their own space, allows the children to develop their personal, social and emotional skills required for future transitions. The children will already be familiar with our Pre-school setting from previous visits, ensuring a smooth transition for all.

We are open from 7:30am - 6:30pm Monday to Friday for 51 weeks of the year (we are closed at Christmas and on bank holidays).
