About Me

We are a warm, outdoorsy home-educating family looking for a kind and reliable nanny or mother’s helper for around 15–25 hours per week. We live a fairly relaxed, nature-oriented lifestyle and enjoy books, creative projects, outdoor time and following the children’s curiosity in their learning.

The role would involve helping support the children with outings, activities and day-to-day rhythms of our home. I am often around during the day, so this role will sometimes involve working alongside me rather than always being sole charge.

Alongside childcare, some light household support would be appreciated as part of the flow of the home. This could include helping keep shared spaces tidy, folding laundry, occasional food prep or helping reset the house after activities.

The hours will generally be weekday daytime hours, with the possibility of occasional evenings or weekends when I am out. These would always be agreed in advance.
We home educate, so the role would suit someone who enjoys a calm home environment and a more flexible, curiosity-led approach to learning rather than a very structured school-style routine.

Reliability and good communication are really important to us, so we are looking for someone who takes pride in being dependable, warm and proactive.

Experience with home education, outdoor learning or creative childcare would be lovely but is not essential.
