Buddying Support Needed – Autistic Children

I’m looking for two reliable, caring people to provide buddying support for my two autistic boys.

The boys are lovely, well-behaved and generally easy to manage. Their main difficulties are poor awareness of personal safety and limited self-care skills, so they still need adult support with some everyday self-care and 1:1 supervision when out and about.

Around 10 hours per week per child, with some flexibility to roll hours into school holidays
Occasional weekend support — sometimes one adult, sometimes two, to take the boys to playgrounds, activities or days out
Occasional after-school support for 2–3 hours to play and do activities
Every Thursday at 4pm – support taking the boys to gymnastics (around 2 hours)

Essential:
• Previous experience working with children with autism/special educational needs
• Good understanding of safety, supervision and supporting self-care
• Full driving licence and access to a car

I’m a single mum of two boys with the same needs, so having reliable, friendly support would make a huge difference to our family.
