About Us

Located in Devizes, Wiltshire, Sixpenny Nursery provides a stimulating learning environment for all children. Founded in 1989, the nursery is based in a purpose-built setting at Roundway Hill Farm and is surrounded by acres of land, making it the perfect place for little ones that love nature.

Specialising in outdoor learning, Sixpenny Nursery adopts a ‘Forest School’ learning approach, where children can develop their skills uniquely, whilst encouraging conversation about the environment and the importance of appreciating our planet

The nursery is also a proud owner of Millie’s Mark, which is awarded as a special endorsement to childcare providers that go above and beyond minimum safety requirements by having 100% of staff trained in paediatric first aid.

Children are encouraged to take part in weekly music sessions, a variety of sports, cooking, and yoga, as well as participate in the nursery’s Forest School classes. These activities provide benefits for children such as: increasing a child’s confidence and self-esteem through exploration, problem solving, and being encouraged to learn how to assess and take appropriate risks depending on their environment.

The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.
