About Me
Based in Stoke Newington, London N16, we are a warm family seeking a 20 -28 hour live-out SEND Nanny to provide respite care and support for our son. SEND training is available.
About us: Our bouncy son loves laughter and is tickled pink by songs, music and physical play. Buses, trains, cars and exploring new places are high on his list of favourite things. He is a non-speaking, autistic 11 year-old who uses a speech-generating device to communicate. He needs support with daily care activities and has a sensory aversion to many foods. We are a family of five, including a mellow and loving dog, a golden retriever.
My Requirements
We are looking for somebody playful with intuition and inspiration to pick our son up weekdays 3:15 pm from his autism specialised school and take him to regular (OT, Circus arts, yoga) as well as ad-hoc adventures including trampolining or enjoying a park and playground in good weather. He loves the bus and train, which provide opportunity for him to widen his vocabulary on his speech device. Return home, wind down and some food and hand-over around 7:15. There is opportunity for additional hours helping with Admin, cooking or a longer evening if interesting for you. SEN/Autism experience is a plus, but nota must if you have the right attitude.
