My Requirements

We're looking to build a genuine, long-term relationship, not fill a short-term or seasonal role. Routine and consistency matter enormously to our daughter. She's non-verbal and takes a little time to feel comfortable with someone new, so what we need most is a familiar, steady face she can rely on, rather than a rotating cast of helpers.
This could suit someone already working in a SEN setting or similar placement who's looking to pick up some additional hours, or someone looking for a regular few hours a week alongside other work. Previous experience with special needs children is essential.
She has Xia-Gibbs syndrome, a rare genetic condition that can affect development, communication and, for some, mobility and sleep. Every child with XGS presents differently, and we're happy to talk you through exactly what that looks like for her day to day.
Hours are mainly weekends: Saturday mornings through to the afternoon, plus some Friday afternoons, with additional hours during school holidays and half terms as part of the regular arrangement, and occasional evening babysitting.
Rate is £20-£25 per hour, depending on experience. You'll be hands-on: outings, play, general care and keeping her routine steady. Comfortable and confident around dogs is a must.
