About Me
A private Nursery teacher of 4 years, currently room leader of the under 2’s Children’s room.
I possess a genuine enthusiasm for working with children, aiding their development and watching their little personalities grow.
After 4 years I am still willing to update my skills and further my knowledge.
Gifted with empathy and patience which I find helps me maintain a beautiful relationship with children as they feel validated and heard. I encourage little ones to explore their interests through various activities which helps develop their fine and gross motor skills but are also very fun!
Additional skills I’ve acquired include Early years child development training which allows me to understand all areas of child development so I can assist according to their individual needs. My First Aid training is up to date which gives me confidence to keep children safe in emergencies. I also have my full UK driving licence which helps any additional duties that may be required for example Nursery/School pick up and drop off.

I have years worth of experience that I obtained at work and outside of work.
Outside of work:
I’ve had multiple nanny/babysitting jobs, looking after children ranging from 5months - 10 years old.
Roles included:

At work:
I have gained so much experience at work and still continuing to learn. When I first started I worked in the baby room (age 6months-12months) for 2 years and I currently work in the under 2’s room (age 13months-24months)
My current roles include:
* Assisting with meals
* Circle time/storytime
* Nappy changes
* Observing children’s progress and updating their individual folders
* Preparing snacks and water
* Settling in new children
* Setting up daily activities
For example, in my class we love ‘A teddy bear picnic’ where they can learn to feed the teddy bears and use their imaginative skills. Using spoons to pick up food to help their fine motor skills and helping them share and play alongside their peers which helps develops their social skills.

This includes speaking to parents, understanding their needs also and working together to have a happy and healthy baby. For example, speaking about any routine changes, Childs progress and any concerns.
