About Me
I am a conscientious and caring childcare professional who has been in the childcare industry for 10 years. I am experienced in dealing with children from 6 months to 5 years in a highly regulated environment, requiring various mental, physical and psychological needs including autism. I have been a nanny for 4 years, working with 2 families, both having 4 children that includes a set of twins.
I am currently working as a nanny Monday to Thursday for a family of 6 near Reading. However, I am interested in a role that is more local and with a family I can become a part of :)
I have an Extended Diploma in Children's Play, Learning and Development, DBS checked, first aid trained, and undertake regular training, such as safeguarding. I am an organised and creative person, and enjoy planning activities for children to support their development and interests.
I have a full driver's licence and own my own car. I am an animal lover, owning my own cat Simba, so I am comfortable working with pet households.
My Experience
I have experience working with children under 5 years, but I have cared for children older when babysitting. I have experience working with multiple children (i.e. twins) and children with additional needs. I believe patience and effective communication is important to make sure children are receiving the best care. I have experience working in leadership roles as a room leader. My main duties entail:
• Applying strict time management and staff monitoring to ensure relevant children’s ‘rooms’ are running smoothly and in line with health and safety and all regulatory guidelines.
• Within the space of 2 months I have successfully ensued that the children (aged 2-3) are disciplined in their own self-care.
• Accountable for the planning and execution of weekly activity planning for ages 2-3, including consideration of special needs such as autism and ADHD.
• Created an organised paperwork system to ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed to standard, such as welfare charts, 2-year checks.
• Building secure bonds with children and parents/ care givers to ensure effective communication for optimum care.
• Keeping parents and care givers appraised at all times of children’s activities and meals through verbal, written and photographic updates.

My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday, as well as occasionally weekend help (will need to refer to the calendar).
My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Nannying from £16.00 per hour (net)
Rates can vary depending on petrol fees, etc, but able to discuss beforehand :)
