*I am not a registered childcare business,I simply enjoy taking my skills and qualifications and using my free time to look after children. I make a positive influence on children and am constantly learning too, as every child is unique. I’ve met and looked after some interesting children and some lovely families.

I have looked after many children of various ages 0-12 and I’m more experienced with children 0-7 years. I have looked after children in Bristol, Avon and Somerset, Northamptonshire and Hampshire areas.

Hi my name is Alex, I’m 24 and I live in Northamptonshire.

Some good strengths I have when it comes to childcare is that I'm patient, a good listener and I'm able to keep calm in any situation.

I am an artist, animal lover and I have been doing babysitting/childcare for the past 10 years on and off as its something I enjoy doing. I love looking after children, getting to know their personalities and I treat every child with kindness and I will go above and beyond to make sure a child feels safe, happy and positive. I prefer to be long term as I feel it is important for a child to bond with a babysitter and not have that taken away so soon.

As an artist, I love anything creative but as well as this I have so many hobbies and interests. With previous children ive cared for, we have gone swimming, watched movies, played at home, done art ,role play, shopping, parks, huge day trips and adrenaline activities such as theme parks, baking, educational activities. I’ve helped children that are non verbal to communicate. I can be a tutor to help a child keep up with their education. That is a brief example. Every child that ive cared for ive been able to adapt to their needs,teach them new things, learn more and do such a huge variety of activities with them. I do day or night care.

At home in my free time I enjoy watching movies or listening to music. I also read the news or go out and explore cities, towns etc... I am adventurous and love nature and animals. As I said above, I am a artist so I’m always finding ways to be creative. I would like to eventually work in crime where children are involved as victims or witnesses etc. So it’s important for me to also see childcare as a way of learning different children’s behaviour.

one question I get asked a lot is if I'm religious...I have no religion however I am supportive of everyone’s religion and beliefs and I love learning about different cultures. If you have a religion then that is absolutely fine, I will respect that. I’ve learnt a lot from different families about the foods they can and can’t eat and anything they have to do.

The way I get around...I ride a motorbike (mainly as a hobby) and I also have a small car with a baby/child seat. I do not let young children sit in the front of the car for safety reasons and if part of my job is to take a child out or collect/drop off then they must sit in a car seat suitable for them whilst they are in my care. I follow the gov guidelines.
