About Me

Hello!

I’m Bek. I’m an energetic, fun and child-friendly mum, with lots of experience of working with babies and children of all ages.

I have had over 20 years experience of being a mum, in addition to my work in child care and I have always loved working with children.

I recently requalified as a paediatric nurse and I have over 10 years experience in child nursing. My first aid and safeguarding certificates are up to date and I have a current DBS certificate.

I live in Pennard with my husband, who is a local head teacher and 3 children (16 year old son and twins (girl and boy) who are 13 years old)
We also have a friendly Labrador who loves children!

I encourage lots of outdoor play and creative activities.

My Experience

I have over 10 years’ experience as a Paediatric nurse and recently requalified in May 2026.

I have 5 years’ experience as a teaching assistant (Pennard & Bishopston primary schools) plus over 20 years experience as a mother of my own children.
I have also had plenty of experience working with children with additional learning needs including autism and ADHD.
I have been trained in Maketon sign language.

I have organised and run local toddler groups in the past and I currently lead youth groups and manage a Sunday school.

I have also completed the child minder course -although I have not actually gone ahead to become a registered child minder, so I can currently offer babysitting, mothers help, nannying, doula and assisting children with learning and school work.
