Childcare -
•Collecting the children from school (usual collection is at 3.15pm, on Mondays tTueday & Thursdays inclusive, although when after school activities start it could be later)
• Providing healthy snacks and encouraging homework to be done
• Driving places as needed (e.g. friends’ houses for playdates or to holiday camps)
• Loosely supervising/encouraging home learning, or helping them to join online classes
• Loosely supervising playdates at our house, doing occasional activities requiring adult help, e.g. baking
Pupil Support Assistant - (2 1/2 years)
Working in a class room environment, I work with pupils with additional needs (including ASD, ADHD and OCD), teachers and multi-disciplinary educational colleagues.
My role includes
• Supporting children with their reading, spelling and maths curriculum
• Providing emotional support to key children
• Encouraging independent activities (for example socialising with others)
• Working with teachers to support their teaching routines and classroom activities (eg, ICT, Comprehension, Maths)
