About Me
I’m currently a full time nanny in Edinburgh and have previously been a supervisor in a nursery for 0-2 ages and am looking for a new challenge and looking to get back into nannying and I believe I have developed skills through my experience within the nursery setting which will be beneficial in the role of a Nanny.
I have worked with children in the nursery setting for 6 years now and it’s something I’m very passionate about. I take pride in helping shape young people and watching them achieve and develop. I enjoy learning new skills, meeting new people, and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. I’m a kind and caring person, who is very outgoing and pride myself on my communication skills both with the parents and the children alike and my time keeping. I enjoy being outdoors and giving children new sensory experiences and crafts. I have a level 3 qualification in early years and many more external courses as shown below. I have a full, clean drivers licence and I’m willing to travel around Edinburgh.
My Experience
I have worked in a nursery for 4 years as a supervisor of a baby unit with ages being between 6 weeks and 2 year olds. Within this role I have gained a lot of experience with children’s development and meeting milestones. Supporting parents with their children’s routines, including sleep routines, and helping to wean babies. Preparing healthy and nutritious snacks and meals. During my training I have also worked with children of ages up to 6. For the past 6 years I have also nannied on an off for a family, they currently have a 6 year old and 1 year old, within this time I have gained a lot of experience with sole working, and newborns as I looked after both of these children from 2 months old. Im currently a nanny for the past 2 years for two boys aged 4 and 2, this involves day to day care, nap times, meal times. Also taking them to activities such as toddlers groups, music groups, swimming and a lot of outdoor activity. I’m also moving with them to Ireland for 6 months to settle the boys in. I’m PVG covered and registered with the SSSC
