My Experience

I have worked in a nursery for the last 10 years, gaining extensive experience caring for children from 3 months to 4 years, as well as older children through after-school clubs. During this time, I have developed a strong understanding of children’s development, behaviour, routines and individual needs.

I have experience supporting children with SEN (Special Educational Needs) and understand that every child is different. I am confident adapting activities, communication and my approach to help children feel comfortable, included and able to enjoy themselves.

Alongside my childcare experience, I am currently studying BA (Hons) Social Work, which has further developed my understanding of children’s wellbeing, safeguarding, communication and the importance of creating safe and supportive environments for children.

I am also trained in areas including child development, safeguarding, behaviour and supporting children with additional needs, giving parents reassurance that their children are being cared for by someone with both practical experience and professional knowledge.

My Approach

When looking after children, I want them to feel like they are having a fun and enjoyable time, rather than simply being looked after. I am happy to follow your child’s usual routines, including mealtimes, bedtime, school routines and activities, while making sure they feel settled and secure.

I understand that leaving your children with someone new can feel daunting, so I always aim to build a friendly and trusting relationship with both parents and children. Communication is really important to me, and I am happy to keep parents updated so they can feel confident and reassured while they are away.

I am reliable, patient, friendly and approachable, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with children. My aim is to give parents peace of mind knowing their children are safe, cared for and having a lovely time while they are with me. ??

My Qualifications

-GCSE’s: Maths, English and others from school.
-Level 3 extended diploma in childcare/ early years foundation stages
-Level 2 in health and social care
-Level 4 BA Honours in Social Work
-Level 5 BA Honours in Social Work
-Currently studying level 6 BA Honours in Social Work.

Alongside my childcare qualification, I have completed a range of training focused on children’s play, development and behaviour. I have experience supporting children with special educational needs, speech and language difficulties, emotional and behavioural needs, and different stages of development. I have also completed training in safeguarding, child protection, paediatric first aid, health and safety, and supporting positive behaviour.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £16.50 per hour
