My Requirements

We are looking for a warm, reliable and experienced after-school nanny to join our family from January 2027, as our much-loved nanny is leaving to start her own business.

We are based in KT3, with school pick-ups from Corpus Christi / Christ Church. Ideally, we are looking for someone 5 days a week, for approximately 25 hours per week.

The role would involve:
• Collecting the children from school and/or after-school clubs
• Bringing them home safely and keeping them entertained
• Preparing a simple, healthy family meal
• Helping with homework, reading and school routines
• Supporting with baths and bedtime routines
• Keeping the children’s areas tidy and helping with their day-to-day organisation

We are particularly looking for someone with SEN experience, who is confident, patient and genuinely enjoys working with children who may need a little extra support with attention, organisation, transitions and emotional regulation.

The ideal person would be:
• Warm, kind and nurturing, with a calm and patient manner
• Experienced in working with children of primary-school age
• Confident managing three children together
• Experienced with SEN/neurodiverse children
• Organised and reliable, with good common sense
• Happy to help with homework and reading
• A confident and enthusiastic cook who can prepare family-friendly meals
• Comfortable managing bath and bedtime routines
• Active and happy to get involved in the children’s interests and activities
• Someone who is looking for a long-term position and would become a valued part of our family

A driving licence and access to a car would be highly desirable, as pick-ups may involve school and clubs.

We are looking for someone who is not simply there to supervise the children, but who will get to know them individually, understand their needs and become a trusted and consistent part of their routine.
