My name is Cristina Zolde. I am a qualified teacher and tutor with a mathematics specialism. I am keen to help and challenge gifted children and young people with their maths, and not only.
I have a valid Enhanced DBS certificate (on Update Service) and training in safeguarding Child Protection, and Paediatric First aid.
My Experience
With more than 25 years of experience in education as a teacher, I decided to become a private maths & English tutor.
My Qualifications
In 1995, I qualified as a primary school teacher in my country of origin, Romania, with a degree issued by the Romanian Ministry of Education and Science.
In 2019 I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons), 2:1, in Primary Education.
I then trained to be a teacher at the University of Exeter, where I obtained my Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with a Mathematics specialism and the Qualified Teacher Status.
In 2022 I qualified as an Academic Mentor for Mathematics at the National Tutoring Programme.
In 2023 I obtained my master’s degree in MA Education at the University of Exeter.
I am the Founder of the Romanian Language School and Co-founder/Director of the EDUART C.I.C. company, a new community educational centre in Plymouth.
I run the Happy Hoglets playgroup, and the Hedgehog Club, which includes maths, English, and handwriting sessions.
I am also organising themed events for children.
