My Experience
I have over 10 years of experience caring for and supporting children and families through a combination of private childcare, babysitting, SEN support, education and my professional career within Children’s Services.
I spent two years working as a Teaching Assistant in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school, supporting children across Reception and Year 3/4. During this time, I also worked privately as a carer, providing individual support and childcare for children both with and without additional needs, ranging from early years through to secondary school age.
For the past 7 years, I have worked within the Local Authority’s Children’s Services, specifically within the Family Support Service, supporting children and families with a wide range of needs and circumstances. This has given me extensive experience in understanding children’s individual needs, promoting their development and wellbeing, and providing practical and emotional support to families.
Alongside my professional experience, I have always had a natural passion for caring for children, having grown up in a large family surrounded by siblings, nieces and nephews.
